School Scripture Classes

Expectations and Policies

Qualified Scripture teachers minister in area public schools through weekly Bible lessons, under the supervision of the church leadership.

Teachers are approved and appointed by the Church Leadership on the basis of sound biblical and doctrinal understanding, a faithful Christian life testimony, fulfilment of initial and ongoing Child Protection and Classroom Management training requirements, and verified clearance for work with children through the NSW Working With Children Check. The curriculum used is the Connect material supplied by Youth works. For more information or to express any concerns, please contact the church office.

The teacher audit process will guide the focus for ongoing teacher training and the topics identified will be included in the annual assurance to the department. See Teacher Audit Process; Teacher’s Manual; Social Media Policy & Procedures
